Camp Alexander

One of the oldest troops in the Park Cities/North Dallas area, Troop 80 was founded in 1944 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church.

Our troop is tight knit - 20-35 boys at any given time ensures unique experiences, leadership opportunities, customized programming, and personal attention
Our troop loves to explore - Our goal is to spark interest in science, business, and artistic fields as well as the outdoors. Campouts balance traditional outdoor activities like canoeing, backpacking, and climbing with experiences like metalworking, NASA, McDonald Observatory, the USS Lexington, and the Texas Ranger Museum.
Our troop builds relationships across Dallas - Our Scouts attend schools all over North Dallas and the Park Cities. They make friends across the community and learn to work with people they don't necessarily see every day.

Our troop encourages participation from all family members in joining the scout journey
Our troop gets things done! We camp monthly Sept-Nov and Jan-May.
Over the past several years 55% of Troop 80 Scouts have earned their Eagle rank compared to the national average of 8%.
